DIMAPUR — The Nagaland senior women’s cricket team finished as runners-up in the Plate Division of the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy 2025–26, held in Agartala, Tripura.
Led by captain Limatola Ao, the team displayed consistency and teamwork throughout the tournament. After matches against Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, and Manipur, Nagaland advanced to the Plate Division final, stated an update.
In the final match against Sikkim, Nagaland, while chasing a target of 132, fell short by 10 runs.

The tournament saw notable contributions from Ambika Kailas Watade, who scored important runs, and Najmeen Khatun, whose all-round performance proved crucial in several matches.
Reflecting on the final, captain Limatola Ao said, “We started strong, dominating the powerplay, but a few quick wickets turned the game. For a moment, I believed we could pull off a win – both sides felt the pressure. In the end, composure made the difference, but I’m proud of how far we’ve come and remain motivated for what's next."
