Nagaland wins three Gold; 16 medals in total so far

Dimapur, Jan. 9 (EMN): Nagaland has so far won 16 medals with three gold’ at the ongoing 4th Northeast Taekwondo Championship currently underway at DSA, Karimganj. Nagaland 's Neikhozo Naprantsu struck the first gold medal for the state in the U-33 kgs cadet boys on Monday. Hinglakbo Nike and Zakieneikho Peseyie secured the second and third gold medal in the U-45 kg and over 65 kg cadet boys category on Tuesday. Nagaland also won four silver and eight bronze medals, totaling 16 in various categories in the championship. The championship is organised by Karimganj District Taekwondo Association and played under the aegis of North-East Taekwondo Union (NETU). A 45 member team under the aegis of Nagaland Taekwondo Association (NTA) is taking part in the three-day championship which will conclude on Wednesday. Six Northeast states of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya Nagaland and SSB teams with 232 players and 25 officials are part of the championship.
