Dimapur, June 29 (EMN): A five-member team from Nagaland Pencak Silat team won one silver and two bronze medals in the recently concluded Sub-Junior and Pre-Teen National Pencak Silat Championship held in LNCT, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh from June 21 to 23.
Jon won a silver medal in sub-junior category while Hridhinandan and Ritodeep Bhattacharjee won bronze medals in pre-teen category.
The Nagaland Pencak Silat team was lead by coach Deep Kumar and team manager P. Kahoto Yeptho, stated an update received here on Saturday.
Earlier, the team won two gold and four silver medals in the second Northeast Pencak Silat Championship which was held in Tezpur, Assam.
Kevin won a gold medal in tending event while Tiayanger Imsong, Imnatoshi Longkumer, and Shivam Arora won a silver medal each. In ganda group event Kevin and Imnatoshi Longkumer won a gold medal each while Tiayanger and Shivam Arora won the silver medals.
