DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Volleyball Association (NVA) has announced that the Inter-District Volleyball Tournament 2026 will be held in November, following a meeting of its officials and executives in Chümoukedima on June 2.
The decision was taken after a meeting attended by NVA officials and representatives of district units following a volleyball equipment distribution programme organised by the association in collaboration with Art of Giving (AOG).
According to a press release on Wednesday, the tournament will be hosted by one of the district units, with the venue to be finalised later.
Earlier in the day, the NVA conducted a volleyball sports goods distribution programme at Hotel Paramount, Chümoukedima, under the theme “Share to Shine through Voluntarism”.

The programme was organised in collaboration with Art of Giving, a humanitarian movement founded by Prof. Achyuta Samanta, which sponsored and donated volleyball equipment, including volleyballs and nets, for distribution to district units affiliated with the NVA.
Addressing the programme, NVA president Visasilie Suhu expressed gratitude to Art of Giving for supporting volleyball development in the state.
He stated that access to quality sports equipment remains a challenge for many young players, particularly in remote areas, and said the donated equipment would help athletes prepare for state and national-level competitions.
According to the release, the programme was attended by NVA officials, representatives of district sports council units, coaches and players.
The distribution programme concluded with the handing over of volleyballs and nets to district units.
