Dimapur, July 25 (EMN): Vice Chancellor of Nagaland University (NU), Pardeshilal, has assured to introduce Post Graduation Degree in Law (LLM) in the next academic session and also set up a separate Law department in the University.
The Vice Chancellor made this assurance to the delegation of Nagaland Law Students’ Federation (NLSF) on July 23 headed by its president C Talimoa. The delegation also met the Registrar, Dr. Abemo, in his office at Nagaland University Headquarters, Lumami regarding the setting up of Post Graduate Degree (LLM) for the first time under the initiative of Vice Chancellor, Nagaland University.
As the federation had already invited qualified professor and assistant professor (law), the Vice Chancellor assured the delegation to introduce PG Degree (LLM) in the next coming academic session and simultaneously set up a separate Law department.
In this regard, the federation has acknowledged the State Governor PB Acharya for his concern for the betterment and uplift of the law students in the State. The federation has wished him the best in his future endeavours.
NLSF, in a joint statement issued by its president, C Talimoa Chish, and the general secretary, Dieku Wetsah, also acknowledge the Registrar of NU, Dr. Abemo, NU Controller of Examination; Principals and associate professors of all the law colleges, former NLSF presidents and their teams for their tireless contribution towards fulfilling the long pending demands of the federation.
NLSF further urged one and all to continue contributing their wisdom and support for the betterment and uplift of the law students in the State.
