Nagaland University released the third volume of “The Communicator,” highlighting departmental updates and academic engagement.

DIMAPUR — The third volume of “The Communicator”, a newsletter published by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Nagaland University (NU), Lumami, was released on Monday.
According to an update, the event was chaired by postgraduate student Amekali Chishi. The welcome address was delivered by Petekhrienuo Kulnu, a research scholar from the department, while Talikaba Ao, also a research scholar, delivered a message on behalf of the editorial team.
The release was followed by speeches from MK Sinha, vice-chancellor and senior professor from the Department of Economics, and Prof. Sangyu Yaden, senior professor from the Department of Geography, Nagaland University.

Prof. Sinha encouraged the department to share and circulate “The Communicator” among other Northeastern universities and colleges for wider exposure. He stated that the newsletter serves as a bridge between alumni, faculty, staff, and students by sharing news about the events of the university. He further motivated the students to write and publish articles that would engage a wider audience.
Prof. Yaden congratulated the department for releasing the third volume and suggested proposals for additional faculty positions and improved departmental infrastructure.
