DIMAPUR — Prof. Ambrish Singh from the
department of Chemistry at Nagaland University has been selected as a
"foreign expert" through an international recruitment project by
China to work at the University of Science and Technology, Beijing (USTB), in
2025.
According to an update, with the potential for joint
research ventures and exchange programmes, this engagement may lead to further
opportunities for students and faculty in academic collaboration and
innovation.
He will work on developing and analysing corrosion
inhibitors in the field of materials science for the oil and petroleum
industries during his stay in China.
As part of the recruitment project, backed by the government
of China, all travel, accommodation, living expenses and expert fees for Prof.
Singh are fully covered.
Prof. Jagadish Kumar Patnaik, vice chancellor of Nagaland
University, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Prof. Singh for the
honour. He expressed that the recognition highlights Prof. Singh's significant
contributions to the field of Chemistry and his international academic stature.
Prof. Singh said that he was truly honoured to be recognised

According to the public relations officer of Nagaland
University, Peter Ki, this is not the first time that Prof. Singh has been
engaged by a foreign university. During June 1–30, 2024, he had served as a
visiting professor at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Almaty,
Kazakhstan, where he engaged with Ph.D. and Master's students through lectures
and seminars.
