The first ever inter-campus meet of Nagaland University gets underway in Lumami

DIMAPUR — Aimed at strengthening unity, collaboration and cultural exchange among the various campuses of the university, the first ever inter-campus meet of Nagaland University (NU), hosted by the Nagaland University Students’ Union, Lumami (NUSU-L), was inaugurated on Wednesday at I Ihoshe Kinimi Hall on the theme “Connect, Create and Celebrate.”
An update from NUSU (L) stated that the inaugural session began with unfurling of the flag, signifying the official commencement of the landmark event, followed by invocation prayer said by Aghali H Shohe, prayer secretary of SPGKK.
Delivering the welcome address, Toito V Zhimomi, president of NUSU (L), expressed gratitude to the university administration and the participating campuses for their cooperation and support. He emphasised that the inter-campus meet was envisioned as a platform to build stronger relationships among students, encourage creativity and celebrate the collective spirit of Nagaland University.
A special presentation titled “Holy Forever” was performed, which added a reflective and unifying note to the ceremony.

In his keynote address, the NU vice chancellor, Prof. Jagadish K Patnaik, commended the efforts of NUSU (L) for organising the first-ever inter-campus meet and appreciated the enthusiasm of the participants. He highlighted the importance of such initiatives in promoting academic collaboration, cultural understanding and institutional harmony across all campuses.
It informed that the inter-campus meet would feature academic, cultural and sports activities. It added that the event stands as a milestone in the history of Nagaland University, embodying the shared values of connection, creativity and celebration among its diverse student community.
