Kohima, May 6 (EMN): Nagaland University (NU) has announced that the undergraduate (UG) even semester examinations will be conducted through online mode in compliance with the Union Home Secretary’s order and in view of the rapid surge of Covid-19 cases in the state.
"The 6th, 5th (Supplementary), 4th and 2th Semester Examinations shall be conducted online as per the schedule notified earlier subject to ratification by the Academic Council of the University," read the notification issued by the University's Controller of Examination.
It informed that the evaluation of all the semester answer scripts would be done internally and in this regard, colleges were required to device their own methodology of distributing the questions, collection of answer scripts and evaluation through offline/online or blended mode as per the UGC guidelines issued earlier.
The notification instructed each college to nominate one online examination co-ordinator 'who shall be the focal point for distribution of questions, collection and evaluation of answer scripts' and added that the same should be intimated to the university at the earliest.
“Colleges may device their own methodology of assessing and evaluating the practicals as per the UGC guidelines issued earlier,” stated the notification.
It further asserted that Nagaland University would soon issue a detailed guideline for the conduct of online examinations. Hence, colleges have been requested to refer for updates etc. regarding the examinations in the university’s website (nagalanduniversity.ac.in) and also disseminate all relevant information to their students.
