Dimapur, Jan. 21 (EMN): In the first match of the BCCI U-23 one day matches tourney for the North east and Bihar Zone being played at Patna in Bihar, Nagaland defeated Sikkim by 201 runs.
Nagaland lost the toss in a match which was reduced to 38 overs a side due to bad weather and was put in to bat.
Nagaland opening pair of Sedezalie Rupreo (124 n.o) and Puchu Deb (65 runs) gave a good opening partnership of 112 runs.
Tahmeed ripped off the Sikkim batting line up by an excellent exhibition of spin bowling.
It may be mentioned that Sedezalie,Puchu and Tahmeed has been regularly representing various Nagaland U-14, U-16, U-19 and now U-23 and has been an asset for the association.

Nagaland - 279 for four wickets in 38 overs..
Sedezalie - 124 n.o, Puchu - 65 ,Hemant – 30 and Ravi 26 runs.
For Sikkim Rhonak, Saptula, Afzar and Sandeep took one wicket each.
Sikkim - 78 runs all out
Yogesh - 12, Akash – 11 and Prasant 11 runs.
For Nagaland, Tahmeed took four wickets, Nagaho two, Nadeem two and one wicket each for Ravi and Imlikaba.
Nagaland will next play against Meghalaya at Urja stadium, Patna and Meghalaya on Jan. 23.
