Nagaland's U-15 wrestling team heads to Nagpur for the National Wrestling Championship on June 21 and 22.

DIMAPUR — The under-15 team of the Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) will depart for Nagpur on June 20 to participate in the National Wrestling Championship, scheduled to be held on June 21 and 22 in Nagpur, Maharashtra.
According to an update, the team comprises seven U-15 wrestlers and two coaches. The team is led by state coach Kikhwesül Thokhwe and the technical secretary of the NWA, Vekhriyi Chüzho.
The U-15 team comprises C Renjanthung Jami (38 kg), Peilungningteibo (41 kg) and Nuvove Theluo (48 kg) in the Freestyle category; Vimeyie Zecho (48 kg) in Greco-Roman style; and Sedengunuo Zecho (33 kg), Esther (42 kg) and Chumoi Phom (46 kg) in Women’s Wrestling.

The National Wrestling Championship is being organised by the Maharashtra Rajya Kustigir Sangh under the aegis of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI).
A brief send-off programme for the team was held on Thursday at Wrestling Hall B, IG Stadium, where Vivolie Kezo, president of the NWA, exhorted the players. The NWA also appealed to the public and the wrestling fraternity to uphold the team in their prayers.
