Nagaland Tribal Hohos Coordination Committee endorses FNR’s initiative to bring all Naga Political Groups onto a single common platform

DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Tribal Hohos Coordination Committee (NTHCC) has endorsed the initiative of the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) to bring all Naga Political Groups (NPGs) onto a single machang (common platform).
The was resolved during a coordination meeting of the NTHCC, comprising the Angami Public Organisation, Ao Senden, Chakhesang Public Organisation, Lotha Hoho, Pochury Hoho, Rengma Hoho, Sümi Hoho, and Nagaland Zeliang People’s Organisation, held at Hotel Japfu, Kohima, on Saturday, the NTHCC stated in a press release.
The NTHCC also reaffirmed the ‘Ungma Statement,’ issued during the meeting of the Council of Naga Cooperation and Relationship (CNCR) initiated by the FNR on August 23, 2025, which brought together the Naga tribal hohos, NPGs, and the FNR.

The ‘Ungma Statement’ called for the convergence of all NPGs, with the full support of the tribal hohos, to come together on a common platform to articulate and pursue a shared vision based on the historical and political rights of the Naga people.
“In line with the initiative of the FNR, the NTHCC strongly urges all NPGs to unite in the spirit of reconciliation and togetherness, with a view to achieving an early and amicable resolution of the protracted Indo-Naga political issue,” the release stated.
