Mokokchung, Aug. 2 (EMN): Minister of PWD (Housing & Mechanical), Tongpang Ozukum, concluded a week-long tour of his constituency in Longkong village on August 1.
An update from the minister’s press secretary informed that the Ozukum officially visited all the 12 units after the merger of 24 Angetyongpang AC Independent party with NDPP under his constituency and interacted with the newly elected office bearers and party officials.
In his address, the minister stated that the NDPP-BJP alliance will grow in strength and win the coming state assembly under the leadership of chief minister, Neiphiu Rio.
He also stated that the central government under BJP understands the pulse of the Naga people and is looking forward to provide a stable government by entering into an alliance with a regional party like NDPP for progress and all round development of the state.
The minister also advised the party members to be active in addressing the needs of the area people, especially in availing central-sponsored schemes like Bharat Aysuhman, chief minister medical insurance scheme, PM kisan card and others.
He further urged the newly elected party officials to work hard for the success of NDPP party so that the representative of 24 Angetyongpang AC will again be a part of the ruling party in the next Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
The minister was accompanied by officials from NDPP Angetyongpang AC under NDPP Mokokchung Region.
Later, Ozukum also interacted with the council leaders of Chuchuyimlang town, Salulemang village, Chakpa village, Longmisa village and Longkong village.
Tongpang inaugurates PWD rental housing
Minister of PWD (Housing & Mechanical), Tongpang Ozukum, inaugurated the PWD Rental Housing at Marepkong ward Mokokchung on Tuesday.
The minister in his address congratulated the contractor for timely completion of the work. He also appreciated the EE PWD, Mokokchung, for their constant monitoring and supervision of the project and said the completion is another feather in the cap of the department.

While thanking the land owners for free donation of land for the project, the minister said he also expects the same cooperation from land owners in around Mokokchung town for greater development.
Ozukum further called upon the department to have a comprehensive plan on how to manage the rental housing smoothly.
The rental housing project is funded by HUDCO and the aim of the project is to accommodate government officers and staff and also with an aim to generate department revenue.
