
Dimapur, Oct. 3 (EMN): The Tribal Old Age Home (TOAHDCC) celebrated its 8th anniversary and International Day of Older Persons at its residential complex in Thilixu village on October 1 on the theme ‘The resilience and contributions of older persons.’
An update informed the event was led by chaplain of Livingstone Foundation International (LFI) School, Zhimoholi Zhimomi, while the director of Ebenezer Orphanage Home, Akum Amri, pronounced the invocation.
Director of TOAHDCC, Imlitongzuk Amri, highlighted on the concept, goals, mission and activities of the organisation.
On account of the International Day of Older Persons, co-coordinator of TOAHDCC, Sungjemyala, initiated in felicitating four senior citizens for their selfless service and contribution towards the welfare of the society, it stated.
Counsellor and chaplain of LFI College, Medozhanuo Tepa, shared exhortation and offered a special prayer for the senior citizens.
It added that a group of elderly women from TOAHDCC also presented a song on the occasion.
