Nagaland’s Department of Technical Education has invited applications for the State Technical Scholarship 2026-27, with eligible ST students able to apply online from October 1 to December 31, 2026.
DIMAPUR — The Department of Technical Education, Nagaland, has invited applications for the State Technical Scholarship (STS) for the academic year 2026-27, with the online application portal open from October 1 to December 31, 2026.
According to a DIPR report, the scholarship is open to indigenous Scheduled Tribe (ST) students pursuing diploma, degree or master’s courses in technical fields recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or the Council of Architecture (COA).
Applicants must have a family annual income of not more than INR 8 lakh, certified by the competent authority of the district administration.
Eligible students can apply online through the Common Scholarship Portal at scholarship.nagaland.gov.in.

The department stated that Aadhaar authentication is mandatory for scholarship applications. Applicants must also register on DigiLocker before applying and ensure that their bank accounts are Aadhaar-seeded.
Applicants have been advised not to submit false or fabricated income certificates or other official documents.
Applications found to contain fraudulent documents will be cancelled and necessary legal action will be initiated, the department stated.
