KOHIMA — The All Nagaland Ad hoc Teachers’ Group (ANATG), batch 2015, on Saturday unanimously decided to put its agitation on hold following a general meeting held here.
The ANATG core committee had on Friday proposed temporarily suspending the agitation but failed to arrive at a conclusion. In continuation of the inconclusive meeting, the members on Saturday formally resolved to pause the agitation, informed a core committee member.
The member said that the decision was taken in consonance with a request made by the principal director of School Education on Thursday.

“However, as an aggrieved party, the assurances and compliances are not sufficient, and therefore we will submit a letter to the government on Monday,” the member added.
The ANATG-2015, representing 1,166 ad hoc teachers from across the state, had begun its sit-in, including a three-day hunger strike, on February 4 in the state capital, demanding service regularisation.
Following assurances from the government, the group decided to keep the agitation on hold after 13 days of protests held at various locations.
