He described the workshop as a pioneering initiative of the department, designed to bridge the gap between aspiring students and the NEP-driven emphasis on integrating emerging technologies into education in Nagaland.
Soleho emphasised that the dissemination of science and technology is crucial for Nagaland to bridge the regional digital divide, transform students from consumers into creators, and achieve the experiential learning and vocational objectives envisioned under NEP 2020.
Technical sessions were conducted by junior mentor Vikuovotuo Zhale, technical assistant Mhasheto Yhobu, and intern engineer Kekhruseto Soleho.
During the intensive two-day programme, students progressed from learning about drone components and assembling drone chassis to completing advanced circuitry, conducting live test flights, and participating in an inter-school drone flight competition.
Earlier, the programme began with a welcome address by SASU president Kehozhol Noel Kulnu.
