- DIMAPUR — Two
drubbings and a four-goal draw marked Matchday-4 of the debut edition of the
Nagaland Super League (NSL).
- The headline act went to Nagaland United Sports Club, who
produced a 5-0 spanking of Frontier Warriors at the IG Stadium in Kohima. All
the goals came in the second half of the game.
- Player of the match Ngariyanbam Jenish Singh collected two
goals. Substitute Nisede Peseyie also scored two, while Shlok Tiwari struck the
opener.
- The IG Stadium was host to two matches on Wednesday. In the
first match, Barak FC blanked Sechü Zubza FC 3-0.
- A hat-trick from the game’s outstanding player, Toka Achumi,
ensured that Barak didn’t pay a heavy penalty for having one of its players,
Henry, sent off in the dying minutes of the first half.
- By then, Barak were already leading by a goal; they went on
to score two more in the second half and sealed a comprehensive victory—thanks
to its star player Toka.
- The solitary game at the Chumoukedima Football Stadium
produced a 2-2 draw between Red Scars FC and 27 United FC. All the goals came
in a thrilling first half.
- Yuno and Hivika scored for Red Scars while Ngansang and Ato
found the net for United FC.
