Scars Football Club and Nagaland United Sports Club played to a draw, Longterok
Football Club defeated Barak Football Club 1-0, and Sechu Zubza FC drew 1-1
with 27 United FC in matches played on Saturday in the ongoing first edition of
the Nagaland Super League (NSL).
- In the first match at Chümoukedima Football Stadium, Red
Scars Football Club and Nagaland United Sports Club created multiple chances
but were unable to find the breakthrough.
- The Player of the Match was Neithovilie Chalieu from Red
Scars FC, who was outstanding in goal, making crucial saves.
- Longterok FC edged out Barak FC with a narrow 1-0 victory in
the second match. Longterok dominated possession and controlled the game with
relentless attacks, while Barak FC struggled to create clear chances.
- Despite Barak's late push, Longterok's defensive resilience
secured them the crucial win, marking Barak FC's first defeat of the tournament
and ending their undefeated streak.
- Namang Yimjong, a defensive powerhouse who stopped Barak
FC's attacks and ensured his team maintained their lead, was named Player of
the Match.
- In the last match, played at IG Stadium in Kohima, Sechu
Zubza FC and 27 United FC ended in a 1-1 draw. Jangjagin Kuki of Sechu Zubza FC
scored in the 53rd minute from the penalty spot, while 27 United FC equalised
in the 84th minute through an own goal by Woreithem Rainam.
- The Player of the Match was Widambo Rentta, the goalkeeper
from 27 United FC.
