- DIMAPUR — The
highly anticipated Nagaland Super League (NSL) Awards Night is set to take
place on April 8 at RCEMPA, Jotsoma, starting from 7 pm.
- In a press release, the NSL media team informed that the
event will honour the outstanding performers of the 1st Nagaland Super League,
celebrating their exceptional contributions and remarkable achievements on the
field.
- “The list of nominees is as per the decision of the
committee of jury for the nomination and selection of the individual awards of
the NSL. The jury has also conducted a statistical analysis of the entire
league, especially of the individual players who have been identified and
short-listed for nomination,” it stated.

- The jury comprises Neivikoulie Khatsu, asst. secretary
general of NOA as convenor; Mughato Aye, vice president, NFA; Kuputo Shohe, jt.
secretary, NOA, and Roko Angami, AFC B coach.
- The evening will feature the presentation of awards in
various categories, recognising the talents, dedication, and sportsmanship of
the league’s top players and coaches. The awards include:
- Positional Mastery Awards
- NSL Golden Glove: INR1 lakh cheque, trophy and meritorious
citation
- Nominees: Dziesengulie Kire (Barak FC), Imtikumzuk Chang (Longterok
FC) and Ato Awomi (NUSC).
- NSL Best Midfielder: INR 1 lakh cheque, trophy and
meritorious citation
- Nominees: Kenumdi Siarau (Barak FC), Cornelius Laldinsang
Pudaite (Longterok FC), Ngariyanbam Jenish Singh (NUSC), Lohrii Kaisii (27
United FC) and Lankao Henry Kamei (Barak FC).
- NSL Best Striker: INR 1 lakh cheque, trophy and meritorious
citation
- Nominees: Manton Wangshu (Longterok FC), Toka Achumi (Barak
FC), Jangjagin Kuki (27 United FC) and Nisede Peseyie (NUSC).
- NSL Best Defender: INR 1 lakh cheque, trophy and meritorious
citation
- Nominees: Sanyem Konyak (NUSC), Hemping (NUSC), Benrithung
Humtsoe (Barak FC), Temjenwati Longkumer (Longterok FC) and Salangwati Imchen

- NSL Golden Boot (Top Scorer): Royal Enfield Hunter 350 worth
INR 1.7 lakh, INR 1 lakh cheque, trophy and meritorious citation
- Nominee: Toka Achumi (Barak FC)
- NSL Golden Ball (Player of the Season): KIA Sonet valued at
INR 10. 78 lakh, INR 3 lakh cheque, trophy and meritorious citation
- Nominees: Toka Achumi (Barak FC), Kevisanyu Peseyie (Barak
FC), Nisede Peseyie (NUSC), Kenumdi Siarau (Barak FC) and Kakhevi Assumi
(Longterok FC).
- NSL Golden Star (Best U-20 Player): Toyota Glanza valued at
INR 7.75 lakh, INR 2 lakh cheque, trophy and meritorious citation
- Nominees: Ngansang Phom (27 United FC), Mangkholen (Barak
FC), Namang Yimjong (Longterok FC), Thejangulie Zatsu (NUSC) and Ayen Mongba
(Frontier Warriors FC).
- NSL Fair Play Award: INR 2 lakh cheque, trophy and
meritorious citation
- NSL Best Goal: INR 50K cheque, trophy and meritorious
citation
- “The NSL Governing Body has taken the decision to name the
Best Coach of the League award as ‘The William Koso Award’ in memory of Late
William Koso. Henceforth every edition of the NSL will honour his contributions
to the game through this award,” the release stated.
- The William Koso Award (Best Coach): INR 2 lakh cheque and
meritorious citation
- NSL Media Awards
- To recognise the significant role of media in promoting the
league, the following awards will be presented:
- Best Social Media Franchise: INR 10,000
- Best Social Media Player: INR 10,000
- Best Social Media Fan: INR 10,000
- Best Influencer: INR 10,000
- Special Fan Awards
- In recognition of the unwavering support and passion shown
by fans throughout the season, the Special Fan Awards will be introduced. These
awards aim to honour the most dedicated supporters who have cheered,
encouraged, and stood by their teams with unmatched enthusiasm.
- Each Special Fan Award recipient will receive a INR 10,000
cash prize
- “The NSL Awards Night promises an evening of celebration,
camaraderie, and recognition, highlighting the spirit of football in Nagaland,”
the release added.
