Nagaland State Taekwondo Championship in September

DIMAPUR — The 34th Nagaland State Taekwondo Championship, to be hosted by the Phek District Taekwondo Association (PDTA) and organised in collaboration with the Nagaland Taekwondo Association and the Department of Youth Resource and Sports, will be held in Phek town on Sept. 2 and 3.

In an update, the PDTA informed that the event will feature 343 participants from 12 districts—Kohima, Dimapur, Chümoukedima, Wokha, Shamator, Phek, Kiphire, Mokokchung, Niuland, Noklak, Peren and Tuensang—and a team from the Department of Youth Resources and Sports.

Minister for Power and Parliamentary Affairs, KG Kenye, will be the chief guest; Kuzholuzo Nienu, MLA and leader of NPFLP, the guest of honour; and John Tsulise Sangtam, Deputy Commissioner and member secretary of the Phek District Olympic Association, the valedictory guest.

The event will be sponsored by the district administration, Task Force for Music and Arts, and SANKALP-District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) - Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Phek.
