- DIMAPUR — The
Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA), in collaboration with
Government of Nagaland, will organise a state mega legal services camp on April
12 at NBCC Conventional hall in Kohima from 12 noon onwards.
- An update from NSLSA stated that the primary objective of
the state mega legal services camp was to spread awareness about welfare
legislations and schemes strengthening the community’s access to the schemes;
identifying and connect people to welfare schemes to ensure that fruits of
welfare schemes are passed to eligible people; to understand legal needs of
people and address legal problems of people by giving appropriate legal advice
and taking other necessary steps.
- It mentioned that NSLSA, in collaboration with the district
legal services authorities, district administration, government departments,
stakeholders and NGOs has organised the first ever mega legal services camp in
Nagaland starting from Longleng district since May 2018 and culminated at
Kohima in February 2019.

- Free facilities such as photocopying, affidavit, help desk
for filling up the forms, legal awareness stall, distribution of legal
literature, drinking water along with transportation facilities would be
provided by the legal services authority besides the other services provided by
the various departments.
- In this regard, beneficiaries are informed to bring personal
documents to avail different facilities.
- NSLSA is expecting dignitaries from the Ministry of Law and
Justice, Government of India, Supreme Court of India, Gauhati High Court,
National Legal Services Authority and various government departments to be part
of the programme.
