DIMAPUR — The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home Department, has officially requested the inclusion of its emergency numbers for the State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC) in public publications, to facilitate effective crisis response and support for citizens of Nagaland.
The announcement highlights SEOC as the central hub for information collection and dissemination during emergencies, with recent coordination efforts cited in the wake of calamities such as the COVID-19 pandemic, Ukraine and Manipur crisis, and extreme weather events affecting the region, a DIPR report stated.
NSDMA announced that its uniformed personnel and officers will be available at SEOC 24x7 to manage calls and coordinate disaster response actions.
Citizens have been encouraged to utilise these contacts in case of disasters or emergencies for immediate support and reliable guidance.
The official numbers provided are: 1070 (Toll-Free), 112 (ERSS for Disaster Management), 0370-2291120, and 0370-2291122.
The directive was issued to ensure seamless inclusion of these emergency contacts in print and digital channels accessible to the public.
“This move aims to bolster Nagaland’s disaster preparedness and ensure prompt connectivity to critical services during times of need,” it stated.
