DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Chess Association is organising the 20th Nagaland State Chess Championship 2024 from July 30 to August 1 at Nagaland Olympic Association office complex in Kohima.
An update from the association informed that players must be from Nagaland state as per their All India Chess Federation registration and registered with AICF for the year 2024-25. Registration must be done online at https://prs.aicf.in/ before 4 pm, July 28.
The entry fee for Open Category is INR 1000 and INR 500 for under-18 and under-14 years category. The payment can be made via Google Pay: 9612850056 and send the receipt (screenshot) to NCA via WhatsApp: 7005157622, said the update.
It went on to inform that the prize money for the Open Category is 1st: INR 30,000; 2nd INR 20,000; 3rd INR 10,000; 4th INR 7,000; 5th 5000; and INR 4000 from 6-10th positions, while the prize money for Under-18 Category is INR 5000, 3000, 2000, 1500 and 1000 from 1st to 5th positions respectively.
For Under -14 category, the prize money for the winner is INR 5000, followed by INR 3000, 2000, 1500 and 1000 for the subsequent position holders.
The update went on to inform that the Best Female Player will be awarded with INR 5000; Best 60 Years and Above with INR 5000, and Best Below 7 Years with INR 1000 along with a trophy.
