Dimapur, May 20 (EMN): The BJP Nagaland has expressed profound sorrow at the demise of late Anil Madhav Dave, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Environment, Forest and Climate Change at New Delhi, on May 18.
State BJP stated that the country and the party have lost a veteran and distinguished leader who held many eminent positions as a Member of Parliament.
He was elected to the Rajya Sabha in 2009 and had served various committees of Parliament including the Committee on Water Resources and the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. He was also a Member of the Parliamentary Forum on Global Warming and Climate Change. On his re-election to the Rajya Sabha in 2016 he became the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, stated state BJP.
The BJP Nagaland prays for the departed soul and the bereaved family.
