
Keoshu Yimkhiun flags off the adventure camp.
- DIMAPUR — The
Nagaland State Bharat Scouts and Guides (NSBSG) 1st State-Level Adventure Camp,
which began on March 27, will conclude on March 31, with its base camp at the
State Headquarters, Bayavü Hill, Kohima.
- According to a press release, MLA and Advisor for Youth
Resources and Sports, Keoshu Yimkhiung, who is also the president of NSBSG,
attended the inaugural function as the special guest. He officially flagged off
the adventure camp.
- Speaking on the occasion, Keoshu stated that only the lucky
and destined ones get this kind of opportunity to adventure with nature. He
encouraged the participants to take full advantage of this maiden opportunity,
saying that these kinds of adventures do not always come in daily academics.
- The State Organising Commissioner (Scouts), John Tochimong,
provided a brief insight into the adventure camp, which will cover destinations
such as the Botanical Garden, Kohima Cathedral, World War Cemetery Kohima,
Puliebadze Jotsoma, Khonoma Village, and Dzükou Valley.
- The entire adventure consists of trekking on foot, nature
studies, hiking, exploring, campfires, sightseeing, fun-filled activities, and
more. This adventure camp will provide a perfect platform for all participants,
both young and old, to bond and improve themselves.
- Ninety participants, aged between 12 and 60 years, from five
districts, namely Chümoukedima, Dimapur, Kohima, Wokha, and Zunheboto, are
taking part in the adventure camp.
