DIMAPUR — The executive committee meeting of the Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) was held on September 3 at the conference hall of the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Secretariat, Kohima.
The meeting was chaired by Anoop Khinchi, commissioner and secretary of Health and Family Welfare and chairman of NSACS, stated a press release.
The committee deliberated on key programmatic issues and resolved to upscale awareness activities across the state to strengthen HIV prevention efforts. It also decided to reactivate the committee of concern to ensure wider participation and ownership, strengthen programme-related data for improved monitoring and reporting, and engage with churches and faith-based organisations on an active basis to promote awareness and community participation in the HIV response.

The chairman, while acknowledging the contributions of all stakeholders, underlined the need for collective and sustained efforts to consolidate gains made under the programme and to further strengthen prevention, care, and support initiatives in Nagaland.
The meeting was attended by the project director of NSACS, programme officers of NSACS, the state programme officer of the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme, the president of the Network of Nagaland Positive People (NNP+), and the president of NNagaDAO.
