Election Commission orders special summary revision of electoral rolls for 28 Koridang Assembly Constituency ahead of upcoming bye-election.

DIMAPUR — The Election Commission of India (ECI) has ordered a Special Summary Revision (SSR) of the Photo Electoral Rolls for 28 Koridang Assembly Constituency, with January 1, 2026 fixed as the qualifying date, in view of the forthcoming bye-election necessitated following the demise of sitting MLA Imkong L Imchen.
According to a press release issued by the chief electoral officer (CEO) of Nagaland, the revision process will begin with rationalisation of polling stations by December 29, followed by publication of the integrated draft electoral roll on January 3, 2026.
The period for filing claims and objections will be open from January 3 to January 24, while disposal of claims and objections will be completed by February 7. The final electoral roll will be published on February 14, 2026.
Electors can submit applications using prescribed forms, including Form 6 for new voter registration, Form 6A for overseas electors, Form 7 for objections or deletions, and Form 8 for correction of entries, shifting of residence or replacement of EPIC.
Applicants may voluntarily furnish their Aadhaar number while submitting Form 6 or Form 8. Forms can be submitted to the booth level officer (BLO), assistant electoral registration officer (AERO) or electoral registration officer (ERO), or filed online through the ECI portal.
The CEO has urged eligible voters to participate actively in the revision process to ensure an accurate and error-free electoral roll.
