Speaker Sharingain Longkumer and Naga People’s Front condole the death of former MLA G Kughavi Shohe.

DIMAPUR — The Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA), Sharingain Longkumer, the Naga People’s Front (NPF) and Ex-Parliamentarians Association of Nagaland (Ex-PAN) have condoled the death of former MLA G Kughavi Shohe, who passed away on March 30 in Dimapur.
In a condolence message, the Speaker stated that from his early years of student leadership to his tenure as the representative of the Satakha constituency to the eighth NLA, Shohe remained guided by a strong sense of duty and an unwavering commitment to the welfare of his people.
“Throughout his life, he remained deeply connected to his roots and upheld the values of integrity and service. His contributions, both within the Assembly and beyond, will be remembered with admiration,” the message read.
In a separate message, the NPF said Shohe was a staunch regionalist and had played a pivotal role in the formation of the NPF in 2002, dedicating his efforts to the party's growth.
“He was a vibrant and visionary leader, whose passion and dedication inspired many. His contributions to the Naga People's Front and the people of the region will be remembered and cherished. His unwavering commitment to the party's ideals and values will continue to guide and inspire us,” the message added.
The Ex-PAN stated that G Kughavi Shohe was a member of the association since 1998, and had actively contributed to its activities.
“In his passing, the Ex-PAN has lost yet another comrade and the state has lost a visionary leader,” the association stated in its message.
The association stated that Shohe had served the people of Satakha with dedication, humility and loyalty.
“A regionalist to the core, he dedicated his entire political career in building the Cock party and remained a loyal member till he breathed his last,” it stated.
