Shooters Dr. Kerheho Kera and Kevipozu Hibo are felicitated before representing India at the International Benchrest Championship.

DIMAPUR — Nagaland Benchrest Shooting Club members Dr. Kerheho Kera and Kevipozu Hibo were felicitated at a send-off programme ahead of their departure to represent India at the International Benchrest Shooting Competition in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The championship, which is hosted by the Indonesian Shooting Association, will be held from September 3 to the 6th, according to an update.
Speaking at the programme, Abu Metha, President of the Athletics Federation of India and Secretary General of the Nagaland Olympic Association, congratulated the two shooters and wished them success at the international event.
He also encouraged them by highlighting the growing opportunities in sports and urged them to make the most of the experience while representing the country.
Dr. Kera and Hibo secured their places in the Indian team under the selection guidelines of the Rimfire and Air Rifle Benchrest Shooting Association of India, following their consistent performances, impressive tournament scores, and disciplined participation at national-level competitions.
The Nagaland duo will compete as part of a four-member Indian contingent alongside Divyana Vij and Subhanshi Verma, with Hina Vij and Rajat Vij serving as the contingent officials.
