Dimapur, Nov. 6 (EMN): Nagaland was among four states including Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand and Haryana selected to share the best practices being followed on the sub-state indicator framework for monitoring sustainable development goal (SDG).
Nagaland was given an opportunity during the national workshop on developing/ reviewing sub-national level monitoring framework for SDG, organised by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) held at the SCOPE Convention Centre in New Delhi on October 31, stated a DIPR report.
The SDG coordination centre team of the Planning and Coordination department, government of Nagaland, led by OSD (Planning) and SDG nodal officer, Nayantara Sasikumar, participated in the national workshop.
Report stated that Nayantara Sasikumar presented the best practices followed on developing the sub-state indicator framework in Nagaland and also highlighted data-related issues and challenges in the state.
The agenda of the workshop was to review the status of the development of state and district indicator frameworks for monitoring SDG at sub-national levels and to orient the states/ union territories for evolving monitoring mechanisms.
Report further stated that officials from MoSPI, line ministries, UNDP, and official representatives from all states and union territories participated in the national workshop.
