Interacting with journalists on the occasion, he said, "For last two years the IITF was not held due to Covid and hence this year's participation is important...I am encouraged to see that despite time constraints, the participants have shown much enthusiasm and opened their counters at the Nagaland Pavillion."
With nearly 2,500 exhibitors from India and abroad, IITF 2022 is being held in a total area of 73,000 sq. metres.
Nagaland has rented 100 sq. metres of area on the first floor of Hall No. 3 at Pragati Maidan, it stated.

The Union Territory of Leh is participating at the prestigious show for the first time.
"I am personally indebted to all participants from Nagaland. Various Nagaland handloom and food products are on display and I am sure all of them will go back with fair knowledge of such mega shows and at such a scale," said Asenla Walling, pavillion director of the state I&C department.
Besides Nagaland Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation (NHHDC), individual entrepreneurs and enthusiastic youths are participating in this year's IITF.
The extravaganza will continue till November 27 and participants from remote areas such as Longleng, Meluri, Zunheboto and Tseminyu exuded confidence that they will record brisk business.
This year, the fair assumes a special significance as it coincides with celebrations of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’- 75 years of India’s Independence. Importantly, IITF offers an ideal platform to showcase indigenous and traditional products from far-flung regions and states under the ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign, it stated.
