Dimapur, March 18 (EMN): Security forces (SFs) apprehended two individuals with illegal foreign cigarettes worth INR 1.4 crores in Kohima district on March 16.
A defence press release informed that based on a specific input, security forces in an operation apprehended two individuals and recovered 64 cartons of cigarettes.
In a separate update, SFs apprehended three individuals and recovered 2500 kgs of illegal areca nuts worth INR 45 lakh in Kohima on March 15.
The apprehended individuals along with the recovered items were handed over to Customs department, Kohima for further investigation.
