MLA W Chingang Konyak inaugurates a new road and a church fellowship building is dedicated at Lampong Wakching village.

DIMAPUR — The Lampong Wakching Church road was inaugurated by W Chingang Konyak, MLA and Advisor for Geology and Mining, the Department of Under Developed Areas (DUDA), at Lampong Wakching village, Mon district, on February 7.
According to an update, the road was blacktopped jointly by the IKON Infratech firm and the Lampong Wakching public.
Chingang, speaking on the occasion, thanked the public for the initiative taken for the development of the village. He said that the said road, which also leads to Wakching village, is vital for the public and was first initiated for construction by him and the former Minister for Forest, late YM Yollow Konyak.
Yonglong Chemshe, village development board secretary, thanked the MLA for initiating the construction of Panchayat Bhawan under RGSA at Lampong Wakching village. The programme was attended by S Longnyei Konyak, SDO (Civil) Wakching, officials from the Rural Development department, Longme Angh of Wakching village, council chairmen and VDB secretaries under Wakching RD Block.

After the church road inauguration, the Lampong Wakching Baptist Fellowship building was dedicated. BT Benang, pastor of Wakching Town Baptist Church, laid the foundation stone of the new fellowship building.
Pastors, associate women pastors, associate youth pastors and deacons of Wakching town, Wakching village and Wakching Chingla attended the programme.
