DIMAPUR — Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Sunday extended greetings to the Chakhesang community on the occasion of Thuni, a festival marking the beginning of a new agricultural cycle.
In a message shared on X, the chief minister said the festival was a time to thank the Almighty for good health and a bountiful harvest, and expressed hope that the year ahead would bring peace and prosperity to all.
“May this celebration of the new crop be an occasion to thank the Almighty for good health, a bountiful harvest, and continued blessings. May the year ahead bring peace and prosperity to all,” he wrote.
