Dimapur, Feb. 21 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of six fresh Covid-19 positive cases on Monday, taking the tally to 35,340, while active caseload declined to 316 with recovery of 40 patients.
The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 32,795 while the death toll remained unchanged at 749 with no fresh fatalities reported in the last 24 hours.
According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, three positive cases were reported in Dimapur, two in Mokokchung and one in Peren, while 21 in Dimapur, 11 in Kohima, one in Mokokchung, three in Phek and two each in Tuensang and Wokha recovered.
Out of 316 active cases in the state, 227 are asymptomatic, 82 mild, three moderate on oxygen, two in ICU and two in ICU on ventilator.
In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 169 infections, 99 in Kohima, 13 in Tuensang, seven in Peren, eight each in Mokokchung and Wokha, nine in Phek, two in Mon and one in Kiphire, while Zunheboto and Longleng are currently Covid-19 free.
India registered 16,051 new coronavirus infections on Monday, taking the country’s Covid tally to 4,28,38,524, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
The death toll increased to 5,12,109 with 206 fatalities, the data said.
The active Covid cases reduced to 2,01,131, with the recovery of 37,901 patients in the last 24 hours.
With the administration of more than 7 lakh (7,00,706) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 175.46 crore (1,75,46,25,710).
