Dimapur, Jan. 29 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 87 fresh Covid-19 cases on Saturday, taking the state’s tally to 34,276 and active caseload to 907.
The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 31,258 with recovery of 65 more patients and the death toll increased to 711 with two fresh fatalities in the last 24 hours.
According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, 66 positive cases were reported in Dimapur, 17 in Kohima, and four in Tuensang, while 47 patients in Dimapur, 10 in Kohima and eight in Peren recovered.
Of the 907 active cases in the state, 760 are asymptomatic, 134 mild, seven moderate on oxygen, and six in ICU on ventilator
In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 642 infections, 137 in Kohima, 34 in Mokokchung, 33 in Tuensang, 25 in Wokha, 10 in Peren, nine in Phek, six in Mon, four each in Zunheboto and Kiphire, and three in Longleng.
India reported 2,35,532 (2.35 lakh) new coronavirus infections on Saturday, taking the country’s tally to over 4.08 crore, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
The death toll climbed to 4,93,198 with 871 fatalities reported during the 24-hour period, the data showed.
The active cases stand at 20,04,333 with 3,35,939 patients having recovered in the last 24 hours.
The total number of people who have recuperated from the disease surged to 3,83,60,710, while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.21%, the ministry said.
Meanwhile, the cumulative number of vaccine doses administered in the country so far has crossed 165.04 crore.
