Dimapur, Feb. 3 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of 70 fresh Covid-19 positive cases on Thursday, taking the tally to 34,680 and active caseload to 807.
The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 31,705 with the recovery of 96 more patients in the last 24 hours.
The death toll remains unchanged at 732 with no fresh deaths reported on Thursday.
According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, 49 positive cases were reported in Dimapur, 16 in Kohima, two each in Mokokchung and Peren and one in Phek.
Meanwhile, 67 recoveries were reported in Dimapur, 17 in Kohima, eight in Mokokchung and four in Peren.
Out of 807 active cases in the state, 646 are asymptomatic, 142 mild, 14 moderate on oxygen, one severe on oxygen, one in ICU and three in ICU on ventilator.
In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 661 infections, 127 in Kohima, 36 in Tuensang, 31 in Mokokchung, nine each in Peren and Wokha, five in Phek, four each in Mon, Zunheboto, Kiphire and Longleng.
India reported 1,72,433 new coronavirus infections on Wednesday, taking the country’s tally of Covid-19 cases to 4,18,03,318, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
The death toll climbed to 4,98,983 with 1,008 daily fatalities, the data stated.
Meanwhile, the active cases decreased to 15,33,921 with the recovery of 2,59,107 patients in the last 24 hours, and the cumulative tally of recovered patients is now at 3,97,70,414.
With the administration of more than 55 lakh (55,10,693) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 167.87 crore (1,67,87,93,137).
