Dimapur, Feb. 12 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of 56 Covid-19 positive cases on Friday, taking the tally to 35,173 and active caseload declined to 505 with recovery of 60 patients -- 45 in Dimapur, 14 in Kohima and one in Mokokchung.
The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 32,450 while the death toll remained unchanged at 746 with no fresh fatalities reported in the past 24 hours.
According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, 30 positive cases were reported in Dimapur, 20 in Kohima, and two each in Mokokchung, Phek and Tuensang.
804 deaths in 24 hours
India saw a single-day rise of 50,407 coronavirus infections on Saturday, taking the country’s tally of cases to 4,25,86,544, according to data from Union Health Ministry.
The death toll climbed to 5,07,981 with 804 daily fatalities, the data stated.
Meanwhile, the active cases declined to 6,10,443, with the recovery of 1,36,962 patients in the last 24 hours
With the administration of more than 46.82 lakh (46,82,662) vaccine doses, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeded 172.29 crore (1,72,29,47,688).
