Dimapur, Feb. 10 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of 44 fresh Covid-19 positive cases on Thursday, taking the tally to 34,082 and active caseload to 549.
The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 32,320 with the recovery of 75 patients in the last 24 hours.
The death toll remained unchanged at 745 with no fresh deaths reported on Thursday.
According to data from the department of Health and Family Welfare, 18 positive cases were reported in Dimapur, 21 in Kohima, three in Peren and one each in Mokokchung and Tuensang.
58 recoveries were reported in Dimapur, 13 in Kohima and two each in Mokokchung and Peren.
Out of 549 active cases in the state, 397 are asymptomatic, 137 mild, five moderate on oxygen, three severe on oxygen, three in ICU and four in ICU on ventilator.
In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 357 infections, 144 in Kohima, 16 in Mokokchung, 12 in Peren, six in Tuensang, five each in Wokha and Longleng, two in Mon, one each in Zunheboto and Phek, while Kiphire is currently Covid-19 free
India logged 67,084 new coronavirus infections on Thursday, taking the country's tally of Covid-19 cases to 4,24,78,060, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
The death toll climbed to 5,06,520 with 1,241 fresh fatalities, the data stated.
The active cases comprise 1.86 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate has further improved to 96.95 per cent, the ministry said.
It stated that a reduction of 1,02,039 cases had been recorded in the active caseload, with the recovery of 1,67,882 patients in the last 24 hours.
With the administration of more than 46.44 lakh (46,44,382) vaccine doses, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 171.28 crore (1,71,28,19,947).
