Dimapur, Feb. 11 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of 35 Covid-19 positive cases on Friday, taking the tally to 35,117 and active caseload declined to 509 with recovery of 70 patients -- 53 in Dimapur, 14 in Kohima and three in Mokokchung.
The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 32,390 and the death toll increased to 746 with one fresh death reported in the past 24 hours.
According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, 22 positive cases were reported in Dimapur, seven in Kohima, three in Peren, and one each in Mokokchung, Mon and Wokha.
Out of 509 active cases in the state, 368 are asymptomatic, 130 mild, four moderate on oxygen, three in ICU and four in ICU on ventilator
In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 324 infections, 136 in Kohima, 13 in Mokokchung, 12 in Peren, six each in Tuensang and Wokha, five in Longleng, four in Phek, two in Mon and one in Zunheboto, while Kiphire is currently Covid-19 free
India recorded 58,077 new Covid infections in the last 24 hours, taking the tally to 4,25,36,137, while the active caseload declined to 6,97,802, informed an update from the Union Health ministry on Friday.
The death toll has climbed to 5,07,177 with 657 fresh fatalities and 1,50,407 recoveries in the last 24 hours has pushed the total number of recoveries to 4,13,31,158 so far.
The cumulative Covid vaccine doses administered so far has crossed 171.79 crore.
