Dimapur, Feb. 13 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of 23 fresh Covid-19 positive cases on Sunday, taking the state’s tally to 35196 and active caseload to 465.
The state’s cumulative recoveries also increased to 32,508 with the recovery of 58 more patients in the last 24 hours.
The death toll increased to 748 with two fresh deaths reported on Sunday.
According to data from the department of Health and Family Welfare, 12 positive cases were reported in Kohima, 10 in Dimapur and one in Mokokchung.
Out of 465 active cases in the state, 330 are asymptomatic, 123 mild, eight moderate on oxygen, three in ICU and one in ICU on ventilator.
India logged 44,877 new coronavirus infections on Sunday, taking the country's Covid tally to 4,26,31,421, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
The death toll climbed to 5,08,665 with 684 fresh fatalities, the data stated.
Meanwhile, the active cases declined to 5,37,045 with the recovery of 1,17,591 patients in the last 24 hours.
The active cases comprise 1.26% of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate has further improved to 97.55%, the ministry said.
India crossed the grim milestone of two crore cases on May 4 and three crore on June 23 last year.
With the administration of more than 49.16 lakh (49,16,801) vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 172.81 crore (1,72,81,49,447).
