Nagaland reports 1 new COVID case, 5 recoveries

Dimapur, Aug. 13 (EMN): Nagaland reported one new COVID-19 case on Saturday, taking the state's tally to 35,866, while the death toll remained unchanged at 768 with no fatalities registered during the same period.

An update by the Health department informed that the one case was reported in Phek, while five patients – three in Dimapur and two in Kohima -- recuperated during the past 24 hours.

The total number recoveries in the state have increased to 33,546.

The state currently has 41 active cases, out of which 30 are asymptomatic, eight mild and one moderate on oxygen, and two severe in ICU on ventilator.

In terms of district-wise distribution of active cases, there are nine cases each in Dimapur and Mon, Kohima five, four each in Mokokchung and Longleng, three each in Wokha and Zunheboto, two in Tuensang, and one each in Kiphire and Phek, while the remaining districts are COVID-free.
