Nagaland records highest single-day spike of 126 Covid-19 cases

Dimapur, July 31 (EMN):
Nagaland recorded 126 new Covid-19 cases on Friday – the highest single-day spike yet for the state – taking the tally to 1692.

This was informed by the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, in an update on July 31.

"Tested 418 samples for Covid-19, out of which 126 cases came out positive. 95 cases in Dimapur and 31 in Kohima. All contact tracing are fully activated for all safety," the minister tweeted.

According to the information provided by the Health department till the time of filing this report, the state has 1061 active Covid-19 cases, 625 recoveries and four deaths.

In regard to district-wise distribution of Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 530 active cases, followed by Kohima - 347,  Mon - 109, Peren - 30, 13 each in Phek and Mokokchung , Zunheboto-8, Wokha - 7, Tuensang - 4, and no active cases in Longleng and Kiphire.
