Dimapur, July 8 (EMN): Nagaland recorded seven new COVID-19 positive cases and one death on Friday, taking the state’s active cases to 31.
So far, the state has recorded 35,541 positive cases, 33,255 recoveries and 758 deaths, according to the data provided by the department of Health and Family Welfare.
Out of the seven new COVID-19 positive cases, five were from Dimapur and one each from Mokokchung and Peren districts.
District-wise data shows that Dimapur district has highest COVID-19 active cases in the state with 20, followed by Peren with six, Kohima three, Longleng two, and Mokokchung one
A per the report, 28 persons are asymptomatic and under home isolation, while one is in ICU (without ventilator) and two with mild symptoms and admitted in COVID hospital.
Meanwhile, in India, a total of 18,815 positive cases were detected in the last 24 hours, out of 3,79,470 tests conducted, taking the country’s active caseload to 1,22,335.
The country’s weekly positivity rate is 4.09% and recovery rate currently stands at 98.51%.
