Dimapur, Sep. 7 (EMN): Nagaland’s Covid-19 tally has increased to 30,435 and active caseload to 709 as 47 new Covid-19 cases were reported on Tuesday.
The Health and Family Welfare department updated that out of the 47 new cases detected on Tuesday, 23 were in Dimapur, 16 in Kohima, four in Phek, three in Wokha, and one in Longleng.
The state’s death toll also increased to 618 with five more fatalities reported in the last 24 hours, while the cumulative recoveries rose to 28,178 after 50 patients recuperated during the same period.
On Tuesday, 18 patients in Dimapur, 14 in Kohima, eight in Mokokchung, six in Phek, two in Zunheboto, and one each in Kiphire and Wokha had recovered.
Nagaland currently has 709 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 523 are asymptomatic, 127 mild, 20 moderate on oxygen, 19 severe on oxygen, 10 in ICU without ventilator, and 10 in ICU on ventilator.
In regard to the district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 333 cases, followed by Kohima with 131, 110 in Mokokchung, 40 in Phek, 41 in Mon, 20 in Zunheboto, 11 in Wokha, eight in Peren, six in Kiphire, five in Longleng, and four in Tuensang.
India recorded 31,222 new coronavirus infection on Tuesday, taking the tally of Covid-19 cases to 3,30,58,843, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
It said the death toll climbed to 4,41,042 with 290 fresh fatalities registered in the last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, 42, 942 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, increasing the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,22,24,937.
It stated that with the administration of 1,13,53,571 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, Covid-19 vaccination coverage surpassed the cumulative figure of 69.90 crore (69,90,62,776).
