KOHIMA — Nagaland state witnessed a growth in Goods and Services Tax collection last month with a growth of 46% to INR 66 crore in October 2025 compared to the same month last year.
The same month in October 2024, the revenue collection was INR 45 crore, as per the GST portal with revenue data monthly publication.
However, this growth of GST revenues during October 2025 doesn’t include GST on imports of goods.
In the previous three months, the GST revenue collection stood at INR 70 crore in July 2025, and INR 56 crore each net in August 2025 and September.
The Department of State Taxes, Nagaland, has earlier reported a significant surge in Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue collection, with year-on-year increases of 43% in April, 44% in May, and a remarkable 104% in June 2025.
The rise, according to the department, was due to internal reforms, skill development, enhanced enforcement measures, and improved compliance by the business community.
