Dimapur, Dec. 16 (EMN): Nagaland recorded three fresh Covid-19 cases on Thursday, taking the tally to 32, 164, while active caseload decreased to 85 following recovery of six patients.
The state’s cumulative recoveries have increased to 30,310, while the death toll rose to 685 with one fatality reported in the last 24 hours.
According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, all the three positive cases reported on Thursday were in Dimapur, while five patients in Mokokchung and one in Dimapur recovered.
Out of 85 active cases in the state, 68 are asymptomatic, 16 mild and one in ICU on ventilator.
In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 67 cases, 17 in Kohima, and one in Mokokchung, while the rest of the districts are currently Covid-free.
India reported 7,974 new coronavirus cases on Thursday, taking the country’s active Covid caseload to 87,245, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
The death toll shot up to 4,76,478 with 343 more fatalities, it said.
The recovery of 7,948 patients in the last 24 hours increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,41,54,879.
Meanwhile, with the administration of 68,89,025 Covid-19 vaccine doses in the same period, the cumulative vaccination coverage of India has exceeded 135.25 crore.
