Dimapur, Dec. 14 (EMN): Nagaland recorded a single-day rise of three Covid-19 cases on Tuesday, taking the tally to 32, 161, while active caseload declined to 92 with recovery of nine patients.
The state’s cumulative recoveries have increased to 30,301 and the death toll rose to 684 with one fatality reported in the last 24 hours.
According to an update from the department of Health and Family Welfare, two cases were reported in Kohima and one in Dimapur, while seven patients in Dimapur and two in Kohima recovered.
Out of 92 active cases in the state, 76 are asymptomatic, 15 mild and one in ICU on ventilator.
In terms of distribution of active cases, Dimapur has 69 cases, 17 in Kohima, six in Mokokchung, while other districts are currently Covid-free.
India logs 5784 new cases
India reported 5,784 fresh cases on Tuesday, taking the country’s Covid-19 tally to 3,47,03,644, according to data from the Union Health Ministry.
The death toll shot up to 4,75,888 with 252 more fatalities, it said.
The number of active cases declined to 88,993, with the recovery of 7,995 patients in the last 24 hours. .
Meanwhile, with the administration of 66,98,601 vaccine doses, India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 133.88 crore (1,33,88,12,577).
