Nagaland records 22 more Covid-19 positive cases

: Twenty-two more Covid-19 positive cases in Nagaland have been recorded on Saturday, taking the total tally of the state to 978.

This was informed by the minister of Health, S Pangnyu Phom, through a social media update on Saturday afternoon.

"Out of 216 samples tested, 22 positive cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed. 11 in Peren, 8 in Dimapur & 3 in Kohima. All cases are from Quarantine Centres," the minister tweeted.

Till date, health authorities in Nagaland have declared 405 patients as ‘recovered.’ There are 573 active cases in the state and no deaths.

It may be mentioned that Nagaland recorded its first Covid-19 positive cases on May 25 when three returnees tested positive for the virus.

As of July 18, Dimapur has the highest cases among the districts with 226 active cases, followed by Kohima and Peren with 109 active cases each; Mon has 83 cases; Tuensang has 28 cases; Phek has eight cases, while Mokokchung has five cases, Zunheboto and Longleng have two cases respectively and Wokha has one case.
